1. There is an all rounder - Nelson Mandela. Tata Mandela will be loved and elected by people to lead without him making an effort to convince people. He will lead. His limitations, he nurtured oppressive economic policies. Time was not on his side to correct. He would have done better.
2. Thabo Mbeki volunteered/imposed his leadership and he was committed to serve the interest of people. He was thrown out without any sympathy because he wanted to cling into power. Mbeki had only one feature of Mandela. He can take decisions that will have positive spin-offs.
3. In absence of credible leaders within the ranks of ANC, Jacob Zuma was a people's choice. He was very popular but had no clue on what to do next. People including his family members looted public resources on his face and he did nothing. Zuma had only one feature of Mandela. That's pulling masses in public platforms but was not convincing as he speaks.
4. Then comes Cyril Ramaphosa. The Uncle wanted to see himself in a leadership position at all costs. He got it on a silver platter just to hand the power to the oppressor. Why not - the oppressor paid the price on his behalf. Ramaphosa has nothing closer to Mandela. He is not even convincing as he speaks and no one is prepared to bow down for him.
Who will be next to lead this Country? If history repeat itself, DD Mabuza of ANC may become the State President. Let me leave it to the ANC.
It may take another 10 years for the Country to produce a leader who is popular and prepared to lead its people. Such person must 1st observe and respect rule of law. At this stage, I only see Julius Malema in a horizon who will do better than Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki combined.
There's saying which suggests that if you can not be trusted with little, you can not be trusted with more. The entire ANC leadership can not host a village event and come out clean from drama. "Tyrant" Malema as they throw propaganda on him, will organise spotless Christmas party for elders and every single grand parent goes home with a smile. Go to ANC's organised party, all grand parents will come back home swearing.
I will take criticism that I heroship #JuliusMalema from my brother Bashin Mahlangu because Malema represent the epitome of tried and tested leadership style which is grounded on the application of Democratic Centralism. He is honest and reasonable on his approach. He observe rules of law in his act. He is not perfect but he can be trusted with the little.
I chose to give Julius Malema my support.
